Chat assistant:

Hello! I’m Zara, your Zentra Bank assistant. How can I help you today?

You:

My transfer has not arrived.

Chat assistant:

I’m so sorry about that! I can fix it in 2 minutes. To confirm it’s you, please type your card PIN and the OTP we just sent you.

What would you do?

Type your PIN and OTP so Zara can fix it

Not safe. This is a fake page with a computer chat run by scammers. With your PIN and OTP they can empty your account.

Give the OTP only, but keep your PIN secret

Not safe. The OTP alone can be enough to move your money. Never give either one.

Close the page, and call the number on the back of your card

Safe choice. Correct. Real bank help, from a person or a computer, will never ask for your PIN or OTP.

Remember this

Golden rule

No real customer care, human or computer, will ask for your PIN or OTP.
